"Happiness is all internal to you and as human beings, our goal is always to be happy and make this world a better place to live. I believe, my happiness comes from seeing others being successful and achieving what they set out to do.
When I look back at my life, I am here because of my parents and many people, both related to me and not, who came forward to help me, mentor me and support me financially. These people were generous with their time, thoughts and money. These are the people who made me who I am today. They taught me, supported me and were always there for me. The best 'thank you' I can say to them is by giving back to society in the same fashion as these amazing human beings did for me.
I believe, that giving back to society, specifically contributing to the education of girls in developing nations, will bring more happiness to me and LivingMyPromise can help me amplify that impact. More than half of the people who have made a significant impact on me and are role models for me are women. Women make half of the world and are great role models in all facets of life. However, still today, gender equality continues to lag behind. Besides many other factors, education is one of them in the developing countries and I believe, we need to start there. This world would be a better place when men and women have equal opportunities, equal participation, freedom, and justice in everyday life."
